IGNITION LOCK "SL" NUMBERS
Most Mazda steering column ignitiion locks have a number embossed in the outside of the casting. The following table lists some of the popular "SL" numbers with the cylinder assembly to use for each.

| SL14 | Use C-20-311 plug |
| SL-15 | Use C-20-311 plug |
| SL-18 | Use C-20-311 plug |
| SL-19 | Use C-20-311 plug |
| SL-20 | Use C-20-311 plug |
| SL-28 | These use several different cylinder assemblies.
Most common is C-20-110 (No push type) Push Type found on some manual transmission cars use C-20-109 SL 28 with sidebar locks use complete steering column locks as :- Manual Transmission - MZ25 type key - use C-20-225 complete assembly Automatic Transmission - MZ25 type key - use C-20-226 complete assembly Manual Transmission - MZ31type key - use C-20-227 complete assembly Automatic Transmission - MZ31 type key - use C-20-228 complete assembly |
