Establishing Key Number

STEP 1 - establish if any other keys in the office will fit in the lock. The key often has the full number stamped on it. So this often eliminates the problem as if another key fits then the first two digits are established.

• The type of furniture the lock is located on ie desk, cupboard, filing cabinet, locker etc. together with the furniture manufacturers name if possible.

• Any name shown on lock if possible.
